09/18/06 I made this bracelet as I finished up the directions for my new Layered bracelet class. This one is
beautiful with the contrast of the green against the rootbeer. Made with seeds, Czech glass, Swarovski
crystals, and a pewter toggle. It measures 7 1/4" and 1/4 wide. Watch for the class!
#03LR $25.00
09/14/06 Playing with another new design for classes. I'm liking this one. Quick and easy but lots of sparkle
and layers. Think I'll call it that...Layer! This one is made with seeds, Czech glass, and Swarovski crystals. It
measures 7 1/2" and 1/4 wide with a pewter toggle.
#02LR $25.00 I kept this one for myself but it can be special ordered in any size.
09/13/06 If you haven't guessed yet, I LOVE browns! This is a spiral in different shades of brown and has
much more depth than I can photograph. It's loaded with Swarovski crystals so it's got loads of sparkle. This
one is 7" and 1/2" wide. Made with a pewter toggle
#24SP $35.00
09/13/06 I just love the Fall pallet! This is a great combination of copper and olive.
Made with Swarovski crystals and Swarovski pearls. This one is 7" and 1/4" wide with
a copper toggle.
#48RAW $20.00
08/21/06 I decided to crawl out of my norm today and try a necklace. I wasn't real sure how I
wanted the focal to look so I just played with some free-form. This one's made with Swarovski
pearls and 14kt gold plated seed beads with a pewter toggle. It's 18 1/2" and 1/4" wide. Very
elegant and truly one of a kind!
#01RN $50.00
08/20/06 I've had these orange pearls for a good while and was going to make up a bracelet for "that other
school" but I just couldn't bring myself to use orange and white together. Decided to go with 14kt gold plated
beads instead and a pewter toggle. This one is 7" and 1/2" wide.
#46RAW $35.00
08/17/06 Reworking old directions for the Two-Drop bracelet this month and next. This is the same color used
in the Herringbone bracelet below. I just love the array of colors it throws out in the sun. Makes me think of a
mermaids tail. This one is made with all seed beads and a pewter toggle. It's 7 1/4" long and 1/4" wide.
#2D-07M $20.00
08/03/06 This one is nice and sleek. A tubular necklace in gold and silver. It measures 18" and
is thin (1/4" wide) with sterling bead caps and toggle. Feels wonderful on! Now I have the task of
beading some kind of focal or pendant that is removable. Wonder what I can come up with.
#02TN $50.00
08/01/06 One last piece before I call it a day. Beautiful spiral (the photo doesn't capture it's true beauty) in the
warm honey colors I love. This one has Swarovski pearls swirling through the design. The bracelet is 7 1/4"
and 1/4" wide with a gold plated magnet.
#23SP $25.00

What's New
10/09/06 I decided that this Tangles design is just not a good class to teach. It's quite fun to
make and gives two great looks with one piece but time-wise, it's just not a good class. I made
this necklace up to show my students. I love how it looks both ways, loose and twisted. This one
is made with seed beads, Swarovski pearls, Swarovski crystals and a sterling silver hook and eye
clasp. It measures 17".

10/19/06 They're finally here!!! A few years back I found out that all magnet closures are NOT created equally.
Over the past four years I have come across only one brand that I am truly confident in and they are the only ones I
will use in my jewelry. But I was limited to just gold and silver closures. Since January, I have been asking very nicely
each month for the copper ones. Well, after all that bugging, Peter finally obliged and was nice enough to send me a
sample. These won't even be available for the store owners to order until next week--boy do I feel special! So I sat
down and made up another layered bracelet with it. I plan to wear this one for a bit to try it out and show the shop
owners. If you are interested in this one, I can replicate it in any size. It is made with seeds, Swarovski pearls and
crystals and a copper magnet! #08LR $27.00

1/19/07 More of the same color scheme. Still stuck in "the mood" but I think this one looks very elegant. Made
with seed beads and a pewter toggle.
1/19/07 I know, it's about time I post something new! Lots of changes in my life lately so I'm just
starting to get back into beading. The color pallet reflects my mood right now. These two spirals
are the same beads just in reverse colors. I keep waffling between which I like best. I have to
say I like the second one better the more I look at them. Both are made with seed beads. The
black one has a silver plated magnet and the silver one has a sterling toggle. Both are 7" long.
1/21/07 I absolutely adore my students! Deb talked to me about some earrings to go with the spiral
design today and then sent me a photo of what she created. I was able to whip these up so you could
see them...so simple and elegant (these match the bracelet below). I'll get a shot of hers in a few
days so you can see what I worked from. Thanks for sharing Deb! These are made with seed beads
and sterling silver ear wires.
1/23/07 I figured there needed to be a necklace of some sort to match all this black and silver jewelry
I've been creating. One of my students showed me a photo of a necklace similar to this so I played
around with the design. It's so light to wear and easy to make that I just might offer it as a new class
for 2007. I'll check with the shop owners to see what they think. This is made with seed beads and
Swarovski drops. It has a sterling silver closure and is 17" long.
2/04/07 I made another black and silver tubular bangle for the San Antonio store sample, but this one has a
gorgeous bali bead in it and a gunmetal toggle. Yum!
2/10/07 Ok, I cheated on this one! I made this a LONG time ago...probably three years or more. I dug it out for the
herringbone brick stitch class today and found a major problem with it. I fixed it while the girls worked on their bracelets. So
it's not really new but you haven't seen it so I thought I'd show it.
2/10/07 I've become an insomniac so I figured I'd use some time to bead this morning at 3am. I
tackled another quilt square bracelet. This one is made with just three colors and I have to admit
I prefer the multi-colored ones, like Mac's below, over this. It's the sample for the Corpus store
so come visit it!
3/1/07 I'm definitely NOT getting much beading done this year compared to last year. This is a
double spiral with a focal for the San Antonio store. I'm considering offering it as a class but still
need to think it through. Quite a unique look though!
3/29/07 If I didn't have deadlines I wouldn't get any beading done right now. This is the
Herringbone Lace Sample for the San Antonio store. It's really a soft lavender but the color in
the photo is quite off. It came out quite stunning; especially with the Swarovski button closure.
4/25/07 The man who purchased my house requested that I make a
turquoise cuff and this is what I came up with. I have to say I absolutely
love it and may just have to replicate it for myself. It's got a good weight
and looks killer when worn.
6/25/07 Well it's taken me TWO MONTHS to add something new to this
page! Time to get back to beading!!! This is a second "Trapped"
bracelet with multi colored crystals. I'm hoping to add this class to my list
just as soon as the directions are completed. Watch for it!
6/26/07 Oh my, I'm on a roll! Two bracelets completed in two days!!! This is the lacy bracelet everyone sees
me wear yet I never wanted to teach (was keeping it all to myself). Well, I've changed my mind and am working it
up as a new class for this summer. Just as soon as these directions are completed it will be offered so watch for
it as well!
7/14/07 No it's not jewelry! I went hiking this weekend and nearly drowned--no joke! Thank goodness a friend was with
me and pulled me out of the falls I slipped into. I had collected the railroad spikes on the hike there and they stayed in
my pocket while I was submerged. I decided to craft them into this cross with the barb wire and (appropriately named
"River Rock") lampwork beads as a thank you gift for my hero. I am very fortunate to be alive!
The smaller photo shows the "vortex" where I slipped in. I was underwater, not to be seen for 25 seconds...very scary!
7/18/07 Since I'm going to be teaching this in August, I felt yall needed to see other options of what you can
do. This has four different colors of crystals. This came about in class when a student, Sue, couldn't decide
which color to use. I suggested she just use them all. Boy did it come out GORGEOUS! See what happens
when you think outside the box!
7/27/07 The first Semiprecious Cuff classes are going to be next month. Some of the students asked
what it would look like with just one type of semiprecious beads. I made up both of these designs and
I liked the turquoise so much that it will stay with me...right on my wrist! I think the look of one color is
great but I still favor the multi-colored sample I made up first.
8/01/07 I cannot take credit for this! I ordered this custom bead box from a woman I met at
the Rockport Art Festival on July 4th. She takes gourds and makes such unique art. She
had boxes similar to this one and I asked if she would let me mail her all my lampwork
orphan beads to use on a box for me. It just arrived today and is way beyond my
expectations. Such a unique treasure and fun way to display all those beads!!!
8/11/07 This time the teacher was taught something new by one of her students...thank you Susan!
I absolutely LOVE this design. It is very light weight and will make a fantastic necklace. Looks like
crochet but it's so easy to do. Using bugles will completely change the look as well so I'll play with
that next. I'm hoping to work this one up as a new class after I experiment with it some more.
8/12/07 My sister has found that there's a huge bonus to letting Aunt Jewelry live above her
garage...free jewelry made to her specifications! She saw the bracelet below this morning, tried it on
and immediately fell in love with it. She wanted one in brown with a lobster and smaller (some
people have such tiny wrists!). So, an hour later...wahlaa! It's truly a stunning piece, one I'll have to
replicate.
8/12/07 Can you tell I like this new design? I've made three of them in less than 24 hours. Each
time I change it a bit. This reminds me of the Tubular Bangle yet I think it's easier and faster. I
love how different all three bracelets look. And I haven't even played with the bugles!!! This will
definitely have to be a class! But what shall I call it??
9/2/07 This weekend I found out my Aunt Betty has been diagnosed
with breast cancer. She'll have surgery Tuesday so I stayed up tonight
to make her this survivor bracelet. I want her to have it to wear to her
radiation treatments. Please remember to schedule your annual
mammogram.
